THE TIPPING POINT (I)

The tipping point is the point at which some new technology becomes mainstream.

Becoming mainstream literally means of wide usage or being used by a large number of people, population or market. We can also say being acceptable by a large number of people.

There are quite a number of things that are widely acceptable or used by a large percentage of the population of the universe in this century. If we start citing examples from the social media, we will start talking about Facebook. Imagine the number of people using Facebook. Then we move down to Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram to mention but a few. If we look at other parts of the world too we will find other things that are widely embraced and used by people.

Looking at this part of our world, Nigeria, there are some products that are easily found in every Nigerian home. Taking Dangote salt as an example you can't do without finding this in every Nigerian home.

Let us also look at the trending dance, 'shakushaku'. This is a kind of dance that is widely embraced by the Nigerian youth which you can dance to almost any kind of music. This dance was innovated by someone and now it is accepted by a large percentage of the world.

These people who are founders, inventors or producers of these things do not just turn them to mainstream overnight. They have also been working for a long in which no one saw them or even take cognizance of them. But they kept on working, working and working hard to get to that stage of making what they do a mainstream by not giving up.

The truth is in every man's life, there is always a point of giving up, a point of letting go and a point of losing hope.

Surely, you might have been coming from a long way through which you have been pushing and enduring and no one even knew you were there. And now it seems like things are not working out and you want to give up.

Of course you will get tired sometimes. It's okay to get tired and rest a bit but giving up is not the best option.

The thing is there's a particular point you have to get to, there is a line in life that you have to cross that will make what you do a mainstream.

Do you really want to make what you do a mainstream?

Then as you go this week, ensure you never give up but persist and continue pushing forward till you get to that particular line.

What is this particular line you have to get to?

I love you and I value you.

You are greatly valued.
